Life tips

Hi Loves!

I just thought of sharing some of the little secrets I have for shopping deals and maybe some other things.

1.) If you like Target clothes, I highly recommend checking out their website. They have a ton of pieces of clothes they don't sell in store (loads of plus size too!), and you can just search for clearance clothes. This week I found three plus size blouses for $8 each, a hoodie for $7, and a pair of plus size yoga pants for $8! None of the things I bought were sold in store.

2.) Use apps! Whenever I got to a Michael's or Joann's I use their apps to get at least 40% off a regular priced item and they often have a lot more coupons on their app that can be used.

3.) Always buy online beauty things at the same store. You get points for every purchase if you make an account, and I think you get points in store as well. The main ones out there (I think) are Sephora and Ulta. Instead of bouncing between stores, I only shop at Sephora. I have a ton of points and just recently was able to get maybe 6 vials of perfume that are about half an ounce each, which lasts a long time. I also got an amazing blush but unfortunately R dropped it in the toilet. 😂 I also think Christmas is a good time to shop because they have a lot of deals and new collections.

4.) Beauty Bakerie has the best lipstick! Matte and stays on even with eating! Also very rich colors. Also this Kat Von D lipstick is amazing and stays on all day! I seriously get a compliment every time I wear it! It's quite sparkly and dreamy. Right now it's on sale for $15!!! I recommend keeping whatever lipstick you are wearing in your purse, just in case you need a touch up. Eating things that have a lot of oil will make liquid lipstick come off.

5.) Especially with four dogs, its super important for us to have dog beds and pillows that can be washed. Our dogs beds (we have three) all have covers that can be washed and so do our pillows. A great place to find pillow covers are Amazon and Ikea.

6.) Don't save things for special occasions. So I have some nice candles and I LOVE candles but sometimes I don't light them because I don't want to lose them. It's kind of funny, but I think a lot of people do this. So...light the damn candle, use that bath bomb, or wear that gorgeous outfit.

7.) Always use epsom salts in the bath. I love the lavender ones and you should put two cups in for it to really work at reducing pain and helping your body heal. You can also add baking soda that is very good at reducing toxins in your body. You can use both of these things along with bubble bath, or bath bombs. I've tested it. Seriously, a twenty minute soak in a hot bath with epsom helps my pain so much! I think everyone should do this all the time, even when they aren't in pain.

8.) If you don't journal yet--start. Journals are so special, I have journaled since I was 15. I have so many full journals and I just love it! I think a lot of people are unsure of how to use a journal or if they have something worth writing about. I learned a long time ago that writing anything is better than writing nothing. Somedays all I write is "I feel like shit today", and that's ok. I also don't sensor myself, I don't think that maybe someone will read it, I just write what I want. If that's the mundane or writing about sex, its fine. Nothing is off limits. My favorite journals are these Moleskines, I like that they don't have a ton of pages, and they bend easily. I buy the generic tan ones and paste inspiring clippings and things and then I get self sealing laminate sheets and use those to cover everything, then I use washi tape to seal the binding (if you want more instruction on this, let me know. I also recommend pressing flowers and leaves in your journal.

I think this is quite enough. If you have read this far you are an absolute champ! I hope this wasn't too boring. 🙈
